  • A Tour of the Cosmos (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Natural Sciences Club of Southborough presents “A Tour of the Cosmos from the Dark Skies of Southborough” with Dr. Heilman, professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. With astrophotographs taken from his backyard observatory in Southborough, Dr. Heilman will describe the astronomy, the photography, and the environmental science that goes into each beautiful image.   • Inflammation Presentation (10:00 am – 11:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Free program for seniors. Learn how foods influence inflammation and strategies to reduce longterm disease risks. Please sign up at the front desk or call 508-229-4453. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Southboro Wellness: Digestion (12:15 pm) @ Southborough Wellness, 205 Turnpike Rd: Workshop on Digestion. Part of the store’s free monthly series. Registration is not required. For details, see Facebook event.
  • Food Truck Festival (3:30 – 7:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s meadow (corner of Rte 85 and Rte 30): 3rd of the 4 part series organized by the Southborough Rotary Club this spring. This session features trucks from: Anzios Brick Oven Pizza, Pangea Cuisines, Travelin’ Bones Barbecue, Say Cheese, and Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream.   • Cub Scout Recruiting Night (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Finn School Cafeteria: Southborough Cub Scouts are hosting an information and registration session. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Marijuana Addiction and Mental Health (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School auditorium, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: NYT reporter Alex Berenson, author of “Tell Your Children: The Truth about Marijuana, Mental Illness, and Violence” will present and answer questions. Organized by several area substance abuse prevention collaboratives.   • Ballroom Dancing (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: First night of free lessons on Wednesdays through the 26th. Learn waltz-style ballroom dancing, come in pairs or be matched up, learn new techniques every week. Series sponsored by Southborough Cultural Arts Council. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Hancin’s Farewell Exhibition (6:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, room C211 – “The Gallery of the Boroughs”: An exhibition for retiring, longtime ARHS teacher George Hancin. Light refreshments will be served. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Celebrating & Honoring Kate Matison (7:00 pm) @ Southborough Historical Museum, 25 Common Street: The Southborough Historical Commission and the Southborough Historical Society invite you to a reception in memory of Kate Matison.   • KidLit Panel Discussion (7:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main floor: A lively discussion with authors that create children’s books. Kidlit Panel Discussion topics will include picture as well as young adult books and everything in between. This moderated event will feature Q&A time with the four authors.   • Summer Food Drive flyerFood Drive for the Pantry @ Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Road (8:00 am – 4:00 pm): Drive through the parking lot to drop off your contributions. Items will be collected and donated to the Southborough Food Pantry. No donation is too small. For details, see flyer right.
  • Southborough Library Book Sale (10:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Library parking lot: The Friends of the Southborough Library will hold their annual book sale at the Library. Come stock up on your summer reading with books of all sorts. One free book for every child. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Strawberry Social (12:00 – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Library parking lot: The Friends of the Southborough Library is dishing out strawberry shortcakes for free (with optional donations accepted). For details, see dedicated post.
