Southborough Emergency Management issued an alert to be prepared for a “Potential Ice Event”. The National Weather Service is forecasting snow, sleet, and freezing rain with potential ice accumulation.

National Weather Service’s current forecast for Southborough is less than 1″ of sleet (no snow) and less than 0.1″ of  ice accumulation. Rain is also expected to follow.

While the amounts are low, some icing is a possibility. With that potential, SEMA issued these safety reminders for residents on ice storm safety and (in the event of a power outage) portable generator safety. Those are below, followed by the most recent hourly forecast and prediction maps posted by the National Weather Service on Facebook.
