Registration is still open for the free series for preschoolers “Young Scientists STEM Beginnings”. The program for 3-6 year olds begins next week. It is being offered to our community through the Southborough Library with registration on Southbrough Rec’s website.

The series is sponsored by the YMCA Family & Community Partnership.* In past years, the Library has hosted the YFCP-run program for the community. Of course, this year the series is being offered online:

Young Scientists STEM Beginnings flyerThis 6 week series will learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time and simple experiments. This is an interactive class using Zoom and parents/caregivers are encouraged to help their child. A list of materials for families to prepare for each class will be provided weekly.

Reflecting the number of families that held back kindergarteners this year, the program for preschoolers expanded its ages to include 6 year olds.

The class will be zoomed on Wednesday mornings (10:00 – 10:45 am) starting March 3rd. To register, click here.
