Meals seek wheels: Volunteer drivers needed for lunchtime deliveries (Updated)

Southborough’s Elderly Nutrition Program is looking for volunteer drivers to help out.

Southborough’s Meals on Wheels program is again seeking volunteers:

Volunteer drivers needed to deliver meals at lunchtime to homebound seniors in Southborough during the week. . .

Volunteers must be 18 years old or older and have a valid driver’s license. A CORI is required.

Meals on Wheels is part of the Senior Center’s Elderly Nutrition Program. It’s run by BayPath Elder Services. The program “delivers nutritious meals to seniors who are unable to leave their homes due to illness, disability, or frailty.”

Meals are picked up at the Westboro Senior Center and delivered to Southborough seniors. You can read more about the Southborough service here.

If you are interested in volunteering please contact Baypath Elder Services 508-573-7210 and ask to speak with Denise Menzdorf or email dmenzdorf@baypath.org.

I no longer live in Massachusetts but I delivered meals in Southborough for Meals on Wheels for 15 years. It was so rewarding and I met many of our older citizens of the town, heard many stories about growing up here and working here and in nearby towns. I met some awesome people at the senior center. I fell in love with the town’s most valuable citizens! Take some time to deliver meals and I guarantee great results!
