Pre-register 5-11 year olds for Town’s (TBD) Covid Clinic

The Town is encouraging residents to pre-register kids who may soon be eligible for, and recommended to receive, Pfizer vaccines.

This week, the Town announced plans for a Covid Vaccination Clinic for 5-11 year olds. The Board of Health is encouraging residents to pre-register children. Once the clinic hours are established, the board will contact those registered with details to officially sign up.

The BOH is preparing for an expected approval and recommendation from the CDC on Pfizer vaccines for children. That is still in process but could come as soon as next week.

While an FDA panel voted that benefits outweigh risks, the FDA has yet to grant the authorization. You can learn more about the projected timeline here.

For older residents wondering about booster shots, the Board of Health’s Covid 19 page includes the latest status on those recommendations. You can read that here.
