Candlelight Vigil For Peace and Unity – Saturday

Once again, Southborough community groups are inviting the public to start off the new year with a call for Peace and Unity.

This year’s Candlelight Vigil is scheduled for this Saturday afternoon, January 8th on St. Mark’s field (at the corner of Routes 85 & 30.)

Candles will be provided and space is promised for those seeking to socially distance. The gathering is planned to take place whether rain, shine, or snow.

This Saturday, Southborough Neighbors for Peace and Hate Has No Home Here, invite all to join them to start the New Year off on the right note – coming together to celebrate Peace and Unity.

They invite the community to join them in a candlelight vigil on St. Mark’s Field* on Saturday, January 8th at 4:00 p.m.

After hearing inspirational words and joining together in song, the group will be handing out candles to everyone who joins them “to share the light.”

This annual event has been held since 2019 and has been enjoyed by many in our community.

They invite you to bring family and friends to help spread “the message of Peace & Love.”

The event will be held rain or shine (or snow) *St. Mark’s Field located at the intersection of Main Street and Marlboro Road

*As an outside event, masks are optional but recommended during singing. There is plenty of space for safe social distancing.
