Town of Southborough

  • Police Officer (full-time)
    The Southborough Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer to fill a recent opening, and establish a hiring list.
     
    Applications can be picked up in person at the Southborough Police Department, 32 Cordaville Road, Southborough, MA or downloaded from www.southboroughtown.com/police-department. Application deadline is January 21, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. All applications can be sent certified registered mail or delivered in person in sealed envelopes to Chief of Police Kenneth M. Paulhus. Please provide a cover letter and current resume in the packet. Applications must be type written. Applicants having trouble securing key documents by the deadline should contact Lt. Ryan Newell.
     
    The department operates out of the new state-of-the-art Southborough Public Safety Facility. Salary and benefit package highly competitive for the area through Mass COP Local 167 contract, including educational incentive, tuition reimbursement, and leading Detail Work benefits for the area. Features include a commercial level fitness center (work out at work program), and training room that hosts regional, state, and MPI training classes.
     
    The department is Accredited through MPAC. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: U.S. citizen; high school graduate (college degree strongly preferred); at least 21 years of age; have a valid driver’s license; able to pass an intensive background check per POST standards; rigorous physical and psychological testing; MPTC Cooper PT Admission Standards.
     
    Lateral Transfer or Full-Time MPTC Police Academy Training strongly preferred, but not required for ideal candidates eligible for MPTC Academy Admission. Cadets currently attending a full-time academy are encouraged to apply, as well as past applicants. Women and minorities are urged to apply. St. Mark’s School

  • Crew Coaches (part-time, temporary)
    St. Mark’s School is seeking two experienced crew coaches for the spring season.
     
    Duties would begin March 9, 2022 and conclude May 28, 2022.St. Mark’s enjoys a rich history in the sport of rowing, is a member of the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association (NEIRA), and rows out of the Donahue Rowing Center on Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury, MA.
     
    We practice in the afternoons roughly two-hours (4-6 P.M.) Monday–Friday, with races on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays.

    Responsibilities involve managing all duties involved in running a competitive NEIRA rowing program and leading practices for our coxed fours. This includes, but not limited to: Coaching high school athletes, novice through intermediate rowers, in water and land practices.
     
    We pay a competitive stipend and encourage inquiries from candidates with coaching experience and/or competitive collegiate racing experience.
