Obituary: Eugene G. Ferris, 68

Eugene G. Ferris, 68, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2022. He was the beloved son of the late Helen (Falvey) & Eugene Ferris

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ricci; his brother, Neil Ferris; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He also leaves two wonderful men, Elton Pereira and Rayne Lario who provided him a very good life with both devotion and love.

He is predeceased by his sister, Debbie Ferris

Gene was the most avid fan of the Red Sox at Fenway Park, and at spring training in Jupiter, Florida. He was an avid collector of books and movies, and enjoyed his travels in Ireland, California, and Hawaii with his family.

Gene endured illness in his 68 years, and faced each day with courage, grace and hope. He never accepted defeat or regret. Gene’s heart was filled with love, and he made the world a better place for all of us

He will be remembered as a loving, kind and thoughtful person who always had a good word and a wonderful smile.

The Family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Steve Erban, UMass Memorial for his extemporary care, and James Fairbanks and staff at Thrive where he resided.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday morning, May 10, from 9 to 10:30 am at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.

A funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday at 11 am at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Road, Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
