- EDC – Economic Development Coordinator (part-time)
This position supports and coordinates the efforts of the Economic Development Committee (EDC) to ensure effective communication and collaboration between Town officials and businesses located in Southborough. . .
Applicants shall posses a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Public relations and writing skills preferred. This is a 19.5 hour [non-benefitted] per week position; the rate of this pay range starts at $23.57 per hour.

- Building Department – Local Building Inspector (part-time)
Under the general supervision of the Building Commissioner, the Local Building Inspector will assist in enforcing the Massachusetts State Building Codes,780 CMR and Town Zoning Codes, issuing a variety of building permits and performing inspections to guarantee compliance with building related laws, regulations, and codes to ensure public safety. . .
The candidate shall have at least five years of experience in supervision of building construction or design or a two-year associate degree in a field related to building construction, building design, or building management, or any combination of education and experience which would confer equivalent knowledge and ability, as determined by the Board of Building Regulations and Standards.
Must be certified as a Local Building Inspector by the Board of Building Regulations and Standards or obtain certification within the guidelines and provisions of the Board of Building regulations and Standards for the local inspector position, within the specified time frame.

- ZBA/Conservation – Business Assistant (part-time)

This position performs administrative and technical work, as well as frequent staff support to the Building Department and the Conservation Commission. Must provide a variety of complex professional support in connection with board relations, public records, hearings and decision letters, while educating the applicants on zoning regulations.
The pay range for this position (typically 19.5 hrs/week) starts at $22.89 per hour, DOQ. Graduation from an accredited college or university and at least 2 years of experience in an office environment are preferred.
