The Southborough Library is hosting a free concert for the community next week. The family friendly event invites all ages to come out to “dance and sing along”.

The concert will take place Tuesday, August 2nd at 4:00 pm. If the weather is in our favor, the fun will take place on the Library’s lawn. The back up plan is to boogie on the Library’s main floor.

The fun is sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library as part of the Summer Reading program. No registration is required to attend.

The performing musicians are ones that many Southborough families should be familiar with – David Garden and Eric Yanaway of Hit the Bus.

The duo performed at the Library last year. Garden has entertained tiny tots at the Library for years. And the full band has played several concerts in Southborough including four weeks ago in the Summer Concert Series and in 2018 to raise funds for the Library after the Children’s room was flooded.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with their sound, the band’s website describes:

We play an eclectic mix of music ranging from the 50’s through today’s hits. HTB plays the music people want to hear, dance and party to!

Below is a video Southborough Access Media captured of their 2015 Summer Concert Series performance:

Updated (7/26/22 2:20 pm): I mistakenly referred to David Garden by the wrong last name.
