Adults can join a casual adult pickup basketball league 1-2x per week and/or commit to playing hockey in St. Mark’s arena each week.
This fall and winter, Southborough Recreation is organizing two adult sports leagues.
Community members can register to play basketball through mid-December or ice hockey starting the end of this month.
The Basketball League for ages 18+ is already in progress (since October 2nd):
Newcomers are ALWAYS welcome. Attendance need not be regular! This is a pickup league – we call our own fouls and keep our own score. Open to residents and non-residents!
Play takes place two evenings per week through December 18th:
- Sundays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Fay School (48 Main St)
- Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Finn School (60 Richards Rd)
Registration is $65 here.
The Ice Hockey League calls for older adults only — ages 35+. It also appears to call for a more regular commitment.
Players will meet weekly on Sundays from November 27th to February 26th, 7:00 – 8:00 pm, at St. Mark’s School’s ice rink.
