Obituary: Maria Pilato Brown, 63

Maria Pilato Brown, 63, of Southborough, MA, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. She died peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.

Maria was the daughter of the late Marie Ward and John Pilato, and stepdaughter of the late Chet Kenbok.

Maria is survived by her loving husband David Brown, to whom she was married for 37 years, her daughter Lauren Brown, her son Jordan Brown and his wife Haley Pratt, her sisters Pamela Meoli and Marla Royle, and her brother John Pilato – as well as many beloved cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews and friends she held so dear.

Maria was a renowned chef who could prepare any cuisine perfectly, an aspiring golfer who regularly outdrove the men, and a sensational entertainer known to host extravagant dinner parties and family celebrations long remembered. Maria was the ultimate project manager, putting exhaustive care into everything she did, a ferocious supporter of her children, a rising YouTube star, a successful business owner, graceful, elegant, electric, stunning, and one of the strongest women many have had the pleasure to know. Maria has impacted countless lives and is loved deeply across the world – but nowhere more than at home.

A private service will be held by her immediate family on the morning of Sunday, November 27, 2022, followed by a public celebration of Maria’s life, which will be held later in the day at her home in Southborough.

In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations made in Maria’s honor to the local charity Tend to You (tendtoyou.org), which provides care packages of local goods and self-care products for cancer patients in treatment.
