The community is invited to Southborough Open Land Foundation’s Annual Meeting this Wednesday, May 10th. As usual, the event includes a reception, award presentation, and a special presentation.

This year, instead of an outside guest, SOLF is featuring a program by one of its board members — “Artist and Curious Naturalist Deborah Costine”.

SOLF 2023 Annual Meeting flyerThe event will be held at the Community House (28 Main Street). The reception with light refreshments begins at 6:00 pm. The meeting will start at 7:00 pm. That will include opening remarks, a brief business meeting and the annual presentation of the Elaine Beals Conservation Award.

Costine’s presentation will cap off the evening. A flyer promotes:

Artist Deborah Costine is a Trustee and past Vice-President of SOLF. She is a long-time member of Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) as well as a National award-winning puppeteer. Slow, solitary walks in the woods, pausing often to look around carefully and taking pictures is what grounds her. In this presentation, Debbie will take her audience along with her on a walk showing some of her favorite photos.
