More virtual cooking through the Library – Tuesday

Learn to make Vietnamese Street Food through a free, interactive zoom lesson.

On Tuesday, the Southborough Library is holding another lesson for making international cuisine. This time, patrons can register to learn how to make “Vietnamese Street Food”.

As with all the instructive sessions the Library has booked with the owner of Ploy’s Kitchen, it will take place over zoom.

virtual vietnamese cooking flyerThe lesson will take place on October 24th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm:

Embrace the light and delicate flavors of Vietnamese cuisine known for fresh herbs, vegetables, and dipping sauce. In this online interactive cooking class, we’ll make Vietnamese fresh rolls with dipping sauce and Vietnamese noodle soup (pho) with chicken. 

To register, click here. Participants will receive a shopping list in advance to prepare for the class.

Ploy’s Kitchen website shares of the Thailand native’s expertise in cooking and teaching:

She went to Suan Dusit International Culinary School while she was working as a financial analyst in Bangkok. She came to the USA to earn a Master of Liberal Arts in Sustainability at Harvard University and a Master of Education at Cambridge College. She started teaching cooking classes since 2014. Having traveled to over 30 countries, she has enjoyed and learned to cook varieties of cuisine around the world. In her 8+ years of teaching experience, Ploy has taught over 5,000 students to cook and bake Asian cuisines, vegan food, gluten free diets, pastries, and more. She is also a certified tea master.

Tuesday’s class is the latest in several virtual cooking classes the Library has offered this year. (Stay tuned for news on another one, possibly this fall or winter.)
