Town Survey Results (and a request for help)

MTC is asking for a volunteer data scientist/engineer to help analyze results and trends

The Municipal Technology Committee issued a survey last month asking the public to weigh in on Southborough Town departments, services, priorities and other issues. 468 people took the time to answer questions.

Those results were tallied and posted in time to help inform officials and voters before this Saturday’s Annual Town Meeting. And now, MTC is putting out a related call for help.

Chair Matt Probst ask me to share that the committee could use a volunteer data engineer or data scientist to look at the survey results they have collected over the past few years. They are seeking help analyzing the data and identifying trends.

If you have expertise and are willing to help, please email townsurvey@sd.probst.org.

As for what we can see in the results, the majority of the respondents were upbeat about living in and/or raising children in our town. (The feedback wasn’t as good for the town as a place to work.)

I’m too busy this week to dig into other details. But you can take a look at the website page sharing the results (with links to specific survey sections) here.
