Lousy weather messed with the Algonquin sports schedule last week. That pushed some teams’ season openers to this week.
For those who did get a chance to compete, the Titans racked up more wins than losses.
It was a great week for Boys Lacrosse, which won its two first games of the season. They beat Wachusett 10-6 (away) and Leominster 17-1 (at home). Boys Rugby won its season opener against Lincoln-Sudbury 38-36.
As I wrote last week, Girls Golf and Boys Volleyball won their season openers on Monday.
In Tennis, the Girls won their opener against AMSA 5-0 on but lost to Nashoba 3-2 later in the week. And the Boys lost their opener to Hopkinton 0-5.
Girls Lacrosse lost to Wachusett 17-4 and Baseball to St. John’s 14-0.
