The Rotary Club of Southborough is sponsoring it’s 32nd Annual Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April 27th.

Trash collected by volunteers as part of last year's annual Town cleanup (contributed)Community members are encouraged to volunteer time cleaning our streets. The starting time is 8:30 am at the Southborough DPW Building, 147 Cordaville Road (off the driveway for the Transfer Station).

To motivate an early start, coffee and treats will be available. (First come first served.)

To help volunteers work safely along the roads, the Rotary will also be giving out safety vests.

Volunteers are also welcomed to celebrate their efforts in front of the Southborough Library at noon. Enjoy a free pizza lunch with ice cream.

In between breakfast and lunch, you’ll be helping to clean up the streets in town. Remember to be prepared with your own work gloves and “sturdy footwear”.

Have a favorite spot that needs TLC? To adopt a favorite street in advance, call Southborough’s Department of Public Works at 508-485-1210 or visit the office. Or just show up that morning from 8:30 – 11:00 am to pick a street and grab your bags.

The Rain Date for the event is Sunday, April 28th.
