Here are the latest results for Algonquin varsity sports since I last posted on April 8th.
Girls Tennis beat both Bromfield (5-0) and Wachusett (4-1). They now stand at 3-1 for the season. Boys Tennis lost to Marlborough (4-1) but beat Wachusett (3-2).
Softball won its home opener against Gardner 5-2. Unfortunately that was followed by losses to Nashoba (8-0) and to Shepherd Hill (14-1). Baseball is now at 2-2 after beating Shrewsbury (9-6) and St. John’s (4-1) but losing to Wachusett (8-5).
Boys Lacrosse lost to Shrewsbury (6-5) then beat Grafton (8-7) and North Middlesex (11-10). Girls Lacrosse beat Shrewsbury (12-9) and North Middlesex (11-10) but lost to Grafton (15-5).
Girls Outdoor Track beat Westborough 88-57. (Results weren’t posted for the Boys’ meet.)
In Rugby, the Titans Boys beat Catholic Memorial 31-26, while the Girls lost to Lincoln-Sudbury 15-28. (You can watch the Girls’ home match on Northborough Cable’s YouTube channel here.)
Boys Volleyball was shut out by both Leominster and North Middlesex, but beat St. John’s 3-1. They now stand at 1-3.
The one still undefeated Gonk team is the co-op Girls Golf team based out of Westborough. In their second competition of the season, they beat Hopkinton 41.5-12.5.
