Household items sought for families moving out of Northborough’s Shelter

Last summer, I shared news that Northborough took in 100 immigrants for temporary shelter in a Northborough hotel. Now multiple families are preparing to move out and into apartments.

NSBORO Schools’ Wellness Director Mary Ellen Duggan asked me to share a request for donated household items (new or gently used) to aid their “journey to independent living”.

The request is for the following items:

  • Blender
  • Coffee maker
  • Air fryer
  • Toaster
  • Garbage can
  • Silverware set
  • Dinner plates
  • Cooking pots and pans
  • Drinking glasses
  • Kitchen towels set

Donations can be dropped off at at one of the following locations

  • Northborough Police Station
  • 47 Fisher St, Northborough (in the gray bin on the front doorstep)
  • EconoLodge
    • Monday – Friday (10:00 am – 5:00 pm) Room 110
    • Saturday & Sunday (noon – 4:00 pm) Room 109
