- ARHS Dodgeball Tournament (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School Gym, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: The co-ed Dodgeball competition for Grades 1-8 is ARHS Boys Ice Hockey’s annual fundraiser. - Holiday & Plant Decor Liquidation Sale (10:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Harding Botanicals, 66 Breakneck Hill Road: Going out of business sale of indoor & outdoor holiday and plant decor. For details, see dedicated post.

- Holiday & Plant Decor Liquidation Sale (10:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Harding Botanicals, 66 Breakneck Hill Road: Going out of business sale of indoor & outdoor holiday and plant decor. For details, see dedicated post.
- Heritage Chorale Fall Concert (time) @ where: This first concert of the Heritage Chorale’s 88th season is “A Glorious Journey: Vienna & Paris”. For details, see dedicated post.
- St. Mark’s Messy Church (4:00 – 6:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 27 Main St: A worship experience for busy families of younger kids. Includes a Bible story theme with activities, crafts, and a shared meal. For details, see related post.

- Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
- Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
- Knitting Club & Quilting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Social group — scheduled to meet weekly. Beginners are welcome and you can bring “any creation you are working on”.
- ARHS Student Dodgeball Tournament (2:30 – 3:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School Gym, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: Registration is closed, but you can cheer on the high schoolers competing in the Student Council’s fundraiser.
- ARHS Winter Sports Night (6:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Players and their families will meet with the coaches for individual team meetings. (There won’t be a session in the auditorium this time.)
- Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop (6:30 – 8:00 pm) @ Gulbankian Florist, 40 Mt Vickery Rd: There is a registration fee and attendance is limited. For details, see related post.
- Interfaith Thanksgiving Service & Reception (7:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church: Join Southborough Neighbors for Peace for the service followed by refreshments. For details, see dedicated post.

- Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
- Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)
- Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

- Early Closures: The Senior Center closes at noon and the Northborough-Southborough public schools have early dismissals the day before Thanksgiving.
Thursday, November 28, 2024 — Thanksgiving
- Holiday break: Town offices, the Northborough-Southborough public schools, the Southborough Library, and the Senior Center are closed for a long holiday weekend. The Transfer Station is also closed – but will reopen on Saturday.
- Gobble Wobble (Registration at 7:00 am, Race at 8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School, 49 Parkerville Road: 18th annual Certified 5k Road Race and 2 mile Family Walk, fundraiser for Friends of Southborough Recreation. For details, see dedicated post.
- ARHS vs Westborough Football (10:00 am) @ Algonquin Regional High School Football Stadium: Annual Turkey Day rivalry match. Admission is $5 each online in advance, or $10 the day of the game. For details, see related post.

- Holiday break: Town offices, the Northborough-Southborough public schools, the Southborough Library, and the Senior Center are closed for a long holiday weekend. The Transfer Station is also closed – but will reopen on Saturday.

- SFA Christmas Tree Sales begin (9:00 am – 8:00 pm) @ 32 Cordaville Road: The first day of the annual Christmas Tree Sale by Southborough Firefighters. This will continue daily (with differing hours) until they sell out. For details, see related post.
