Earlier this year, I shared the Town’s news about a Financial Assistance form that residents can fill out. Now, they are promoting that the same form can be used to apply for help through the Emergency Fund.
Southborough Youth & Family Services website describes the Emergency Fund as used for:
Financial assistance to residents experiencing financial hardship for situations such as car repair, loss of electricity or heat, medical expenses, etc.
The form is already used to allow families with kids to apply for paying for Recreation After-School Programs (RAP) and Summer Camp. It’s also the one the agency also uses to help families each winter through the Winter Wishes program.
The Town asked me to help promote the updated Financial Assistance flyer. It explains:
Eligibility is based on Southborough Residency & Evidence of Need. . .
NOTE: You will be required to provide supporting documentation. Accepted documents are outlined in the financial assistance application. Your application can be submitted securely through DocuSign or by dropping hard copies off to the SYFS office located at 21 Highland Street.
