Go the Distance Awards 2025 nominations window is open

Nominate honorees by April 18th & Mark the Date for NSPAC's May 22nd Ceremony

Above: NSPAC is seeking nominees to be honored at the annual Awards Ceremony in May. The window is open to nominate someone you think worthy. (image of cropped flyer)

It’s time to nominate those who have gone the distance to students with special needs. (Perhaps, in keeping with this year’s theme, they helped your children challenge their limits.)

The nomination window for this school year opened this morning. Submissions are due by April 18th.

Each year the Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council dedicates a night to honoring people who have made a positive difference to special needs students in our district.

2025 GTD Nomination PosterAs usual, any student, family member, or guardian of a student on a 504 Plan or IEP in the Northborough or Southborough Public School District is free to submit one nomination per child to:

recognize one individual who has made a positive impact in your child’s life during this current 2024 – 2025 academic year. This person can be a bus driver, teacher, cafeteria worker, paraprofessional, support staff member, another student, or community employee (such as a coach, dance teacher, or librarian). It should be an individual who has made a significant contribution in enhancing the life of your child.

As always, every person nominated will be formally recognized during NSPAC’s Go the Distance Award Ceremony. For the nomination form and more details, click here.

Looking back, I never posted the 2024 Award Recipients. Below is the list of winners from Southborough schools, Algonquin and the community at-large. (To see winners from Northborough’s K-8 schools, click here for the full list.)
