Suspects alleged to have pointed air pistol at other drivers

Police issued news following complaints of a handgun being pointed at drivers on Rte 9

A man and a teen are facing serious charges after the Southborough Police received complaints alleging that someone was pointing a gun at other drivers on Route 9.

Here is the redacted statement from the SPD’s release: issued yesterday about the incident that took place on Monday evening:

On Monday, May 5, 2025, at approx. 1915 hours, Southborough Officers responded to Turnpike Road to investigate a report of a motor vehicle operating at a high rate of speed with a passenger pointing a black “handgun” out the window at other drivers on the roadway. Responding officers were unable to locate the vehicle, as it had left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. SPD put out a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) to surrounding towns for the vehicle; a silver-colored Toyota Corolla. The vehicle’s owner was contacted at their residence, and the vehicle owner contacted the two involved male parties, [a Milford man} and a juvenile from Hopedale, MA. The mv owner advised them to drive to the nearest police department, which was Northborough Police Department. Northborough Police contacted Southborough Police, Framingham Police, and the Massachusetts State Police, and advised that the two subjects involved were now at their station (all had similar incidents in their jurisdictions). The handgun involved was determined to be a realistic-looking Glock air pistol and had been purchased earlier that day. Both suspects are facing multiple Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Accomplice to Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon charges in the involved jurisdictions.
