Get ready to sign kids up for Fall RAP

The countdown to the end of summer has begun. Southborough Recreation is already promoting their first session of this school year’s RAP (Recreation After-School Programs) classes that will launch in one month. Offerings cover creative, educational, and athletic fun.

Registration is set to open this Sunday.

The programs are coordinated in partnership with Southborough’s public schools, but run by Southborough Rec. Most RAPs are held on-site at the school, shortly following the end of classes. Parents are then expected to pickup kids at the end of the RAP. (Or, kids in the SEDP extended day program can head there afterwards.)

There are a few exceptions. For three programs, Rec will transport kids by van to offsite programs, where parents (or caregivers) need to pick them up at the end. Those are at Sew Studio (205 Turnpike Rd) and Rec’s facilities in the South Union Building (21 Highland Street).

Prices vary by program, ranging from $60 to $175 for five classes. (Most are over $100.) The session runs the week of September 14th through mid to late October. (Monday sessions run until October 26th due to two holidays. Other days end two weeks earlier.) Registration will close on September 8th.

Finn RAP Programming
Classes run from 3:30 – 4:30 pm

  • High Point Athletics: Basketball
  • Lego Challenges

Woodward RAP Programming
Except for offsite programs, classes run from 3:15 – 4:15 pm

  • Certain Victory: Thai-Karate
  • Yoga and Mindfulness
• Tuesdays:
  • Sewing @ Sew Studio (pickup at 4:30 pm)
  • FAST Athletics: Gaga Ball
• Wednesdays:
  • The Art Studio: Inspired by Famous Artists
  • High Point Athletics: Basketball
• Thursdays:
  • Kids Can Cook @ 21 Highland St (pickup at 4:30 pm)
  • Girls Lacrosse 

Neary RAP Programming
Except for offsite program, classes run from 3:05 – 4:05 pm
