The Southborough Library is bringing back a popular educator on a nature-driven topic. In an upcoming workshop, kids will learn about tracking signs of wildlife.
The hands on event a week from tomorrow is for kids ages 5+ yrs old.
(When they offered the same workshop in 2024, the event was promoted as appropriate for ages 5-10.)
While the workshop is free, it does require pre-registration.
The Library promotes:
Come discover the tracks of our local mammals and learn to identify which mammals leave which types of tracks. In addition to learning our local mammal tracks, we will also discover their other ‘signs’, such as fur traces, scat and scratch marks. Following an animal’s tracks can teach us a lot about who lives in our woods and their behavior. Make some track rubbings and a track cast to take home!
The nature workshop will take place on the Library’s main floor, Wednesday, October 30th from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. To sign kids up, click here.
The workshop will be led by Heather of Hands on Nature. It is sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library.
