Yesterday turned out to be a gorgeous day for enjoying Heritage Day in downtown Southborough. I’m sharing my photo highlights from the parade and festivities.
The Town’s biggest annual parade included officials (Select Board members, our state legislators, and public safety chiefs), youth sports (Jr. T-Hawks football and cheer), community groups (Southborough Senior Center and Southborough Kindergroup), classic cars, fire department trucks, the school marching bands, and a whole lot of scouts:
The field was bustling with activity, including free inflatables, the Knights of Columbus free Soccer Challenge, vendors, youth sports groups recruiting participation, town outreach, community groups raising awareness, and local groups & troops holding fundraisers. Across the street, The Friends of the Southborough Library held its annual Heritage Day Book & Bake Sale
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to check out the Southborough Fire Department’s Open House. (If anyone has photos from that or other Heritage Day fun they want to share, email mysouthborough@gmail.com!)
