For the 6th year, Southborough Kindergroup is hosting a free pre-Thanksgiving fun run — the Kids Turkey Trot.
Once again, kids of all ages are welcomed to join them for a series of fun runs. Age categories span from a stroller race to ages 8+.
Kindergroup’s event will take place Sunday, November 15th at Trottier Middle School’s track (49 Parkerville Rd). Check-in begins at 9:00 am and races start at 10:00 am.
Although participation is free, registration is required. And there is an incentive to sign up early.
If you sign up by Friday, October 23rd, you can also pre-purchase a long sleeve t-shirt (in sizes for toddler through adults).
Although the event is free, families will need to complete a waiver. You can do that at the event, but it’s easier to pre-register here and complete the online waiver here.
The event will include music, crafts, and prizes. Plus, they’ll be selling raffle tickets for prizes that include Bruins tickets, a 2-night resort stay, and more. (See details right.)
Of course, the real attraction is getting to watch adorable tots and proud kids run their “trot” on the outdoor track.
[Editor’s Note: If your family enjoys running, don’t forget that this Thanksgiving morning is Southborough’s 20th annual, family friendly Gobble Wobble! (Read about that event here.)]
Thanks to presenting sponsor, At Home with Annie, plus supporting partners Mac Goodness and Bach to Rock for making the Turkey Trot possible.
And thanks to Southborough Kindergroup for putting on the fun event. You can learn more about the playgroup and social group for families with 0-5 year olds in my recent post here.
