One of Southborough’s few watering holes, Owen O’Leary’s has amped up its promotions of regular live (and interactive) music. Two acts are featured this week, along with regular weekly entertainment.
I’m highlighting the Irish pub’s lineup of events, since they’re technically free. (Obviously, they’re hoping you’ll be ordering food and drinks, but there’s no cover charge.)
On most Friday nights from 8:00 – 11:00 pm, the upstairs bar features a live band/musician.
For this Friday, August 22nd, Dave Parker is promoting his acoustic performance:

For those of you that haven’t been to one my shows, its always a good time!!
Cool, relaxed and interactive, easy going and of course, non stop music!
I like to introduce some of the songs with quick little stories, rock n roll trivia, and chat a bit with the crowd in between songs.
And definitely feel free to sing along with the tunes, dance if you’re feelin’ it, and let’s rip it up and have a good time!!

While a less regular occurance, bands are also occasionally lined up for Saturday nights. This Saturday, August 23rd, 3 of a Kind will perform from 8:00 – 11:00 pm. (If you’re planning to enjoy Southborough Summer Nights, that still leaves plenty of time to enjoy the band after the fireworks.) The band promotes, “Playing all the classic rock you know and love, its sure to be a night to remember.”
The pub also brings in a regular Rock & Blues band, Soulshaker, for its weekly Wednesday night “Live Blues Jam ‘n Open Mic”. They invite:

Or even the Vocals to wow the crowd? Come down and play with our house band and fellow musical talent, or even just come to enjoy the show with a beverage and delicious food all night. See you [every] Wednesday 8 to 11!
If you need a little more structure/help for showing off your vocals, you may prefer to drop in for the pub’s Karaoke nights. That’s every Thursday night (including tonight), from 9:00 – 11:00 pm:

Although it’s not a musical event, I’ll also point out you the pub hosts a weekly Trivia Night on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm. (That’s run by “Geeks who Drink“.)
