The Tricentennial Committee asked me to help put the word out about one of their big celebrations planned for the Town’s 300th anniversary in 2027.
The committee is seeking a wide variety of performers to participate in the “Southborough Tricentennial Spectacular” on Saturday, August 21, 2027. To get the ball rolling on planning the day, they are hoping performers will submit their interest by the end of next month.
They’d also love to hear from volunteers willing to help plan the big event.
The public can use the interest form for the Spectacular event to let the committee know if they are interested in performing, willing to volunteer (before or on the day the event), representing a group/organization that may want to help, or just looking for more info at this stage.

Southborough is turning 300 — and we’re planning something spectacular to celebrate!
On Saturday, August 21, 2027, the Southborough Tricentennial Spectacular will bring a full day of music, performing arts, family fun, and community celebration to town, co-located with the 2027 Southborough Summer Nights.
Think live bands, singers, instrumentalists, dancers, theater performers, choirs, school groups, cultural performances, barbershop quartets, jugglers, family-friendly variety acts, and more. From little kids to big kids, parents, grandparents, alumni, neighbors, and friends — this is being planned as a fun, high-energy day for kids of all ages.
And now we need YOU to help make it happen.
Are you a Southborough band, ensemble, soloist, dancer, theater performer, student group, cultural performer, variety act, or other performing arts individual or group?
We want to hear from you.
Would you like to volunteer?
We’ll need help before, during, and after the event with things like setup, performer check-in, guest welcome/info tables, stage support, photography/video, social media, outreach, cleanup, logistics, and more.
This celebration is all about showcasing the talent, creativity, and community spirit of Southborough. Whether you live here, work here, went to school here, perform with Southborough residents, or simply have a strong Southborough connection, please fill out the interest form below.
