The downtown art studio, Apothecary Artists Studio & Gallery, is promoting another art exhibit. This Saturday kicks off the juried show of works submitted in response to the second annual “Call for Art” the studio announced this summer. The featured works will celebrate native plants and pollinators.
The exhibit will be on display from community is invited to enjoy the exhibit from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 1st, with an opening reception at 6:00 pm. It will also be open Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm.
(The exhibit then will remain on display through September 1st with unspecified hours.)
The art show will be in the gallery at the 11 Main Street. During this weekend’s exhibit hours, the business is also promoting a sale of vintage goods by “Rove & Ruin” that will run alongside the exhibit.
Earlier this summer, the studio issued a call for “Artists of all experience levels and disciplines” to submit pieces for the show. The intent is to:
highlight the importance of native plants in our community and continue our collective education.
Artists were instructed that the plants/pollinators must be considered native to New England.
