The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously last night to impose a voluntary odd/even water restriction starting immediately and running through September 22. Under the ban, outside water use is restricted based on your house number, so odd-numbered houses use water on odd-numbered days, and even-numbered houses use water on even-numbered days. The Southborough Library is planning a new space just for ‘tweens and teens, and they’re looking for input. The library developed a survey to help determine everything from why young adults use the library (or don’t), to what services they’d like to see more of, to the sort of look and feel an area geared toward young adults should have. This is short notice, but earlier today I learned the Gold Star Memorial train will make a stop in Southborough this evening. The special passenger coach which bears the name of every soldier, marine, sailor and airman who lost their life while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, was scheduled to pass through town last week as it traveled the Boston-Worcester line, but the run had to be scrapped at the last moment due to mechanical problems.
