Few Southborough residents voted in state primary
In a primary election in which most contestants ran unopposed, it’s probably no surprise that only a small number of Southborough residents turned out to vote yesterday. Selectmen support using $308K in mitigation funds to upgrade police/fire dispatch center
When the 140-unit Madison Place apartment complex off Route 9 was approved earlier this summer, the developer agreed to pay the town $338K in mitigation funds to offset the impact the project will have on the town. At their meeting last night selectmen discussed using $308K of the funds to upgrade the police and fire department’s antiquated computer-aided dispatch center. MWDN: Developer seeks to amend 40B approval in Southborough
A 16-unit 40B townhouse development on Oak Hill Road called Woodland Meadows is having a hard time getting off the ground. The project was approved in October 2010, but the developer wasn’t happy with many of the conditions attached the approval, so he appeal to the state to have some removed. The appeal was settled last summer, but the Metrowest Daily News reports the project is still facing challenges.
