I don’t know about you, but I love it when the odometer on my car flips over to a number with lots of zeros — 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 — although the excitement tends to dim the further out of warranty I get. I recently got to experience the same excitement over this blog, minus the Read the full article → from A community of thousands

Fire department logs posted
Last week I asked you whether you wanted the fire department logs to be a weekly feature on My Southborough. Nine of you said yes and seven of you said no. That’s hardly overwhelming, but the aye’s have it. Since they take up a bunch of space, I’ve put them on a separate page where Read the full article → from Fire department logs posted
A winter walk at Breakneck Hill
We took a late afternoon walk on the Breakneck Hill conservation land on Saturday. The sky was blue when we left the house, but dark clouds quickly moved in, creating some moody scenes. The rolling hills make for a lovely winter walk, and the trails are well-trodden, so it’s easy to see the path. We Read the full article → from A winter walk at Breakneck Hill

Two weather-related accidents yesterday
From the comfort of my couch, yesterday’s storm didn’t seem so bad. But apparently, it was enough to cause some issues on the roads. Welcome to 2009!
While I admitted I had concerns about whether there was enough Southborough news to sustain a blog when I started it in 2008, I no longer suffer such fears. 2009 is shaping up to be an eventful year. Here’s just a taste of what’s to come. Southborough will get a new police chief, and Algonquin Read the full article → from Welcome to 2009!
The year in review
A fall day on Breakneck Hill conservation land. One of my favorite Southborough images from 2008. When I started this blog a few months ago, I have to admit I wondered if there would be enough Southborough-specific news to sustain it. Turns out I needn’t have worried. Here’s a look at some of the big Read the full article → from The year in review

Happy Thanksgiving
Turkey, mashed potatoes, squash casserole. Green beans, cranberry sauce, brussels sprouts. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie. I plan to eat all of it. And then I plan to sit on the couch and nurse my big full belly … at least for about 30 seconds before I have to get up and chase the Read the full article → from Happy Thanksgiving
