Paint murals to benefit Boston bombing victims on Sunday
Southborough resident Lanting Huang-Truong is calling on her artistic talents to benefit victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Owner of the Bigelow Center for the Arts, Lanting has organized a community mural project, with the murals to be auctioned off and proceeds donated to The One Fund Boston. Main Street reconstruction project could happen in fiscal year 2017
The long-awaited Main Street reconstruction project is one step closer to reality. Town Administrator Mark Purple announced last week the project has been placed on the draft three-year Transportation Improvement Plan put together by the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization. While that’s good news, Purple said if the draft is approved, the earliest the project is likely to get underway is fiscal year 2017. Longtime Conservation Commission member recognized
Each year the Southborough Open Land Foundation awards the Elaine Beals Conservation Award to a deserving Southborough resident. This year the honor went to Rhonda Russian, who retired from the Conservation Commission last year after 22 years of service.
