For the past 27 years, the Southborough Gardeners have helped make the holiday season in Southborough more festive by hanging wreaths on the doors of town buildings and businesses. This year nearly 100 wreaths graced the doors and windows of places like the Town House, the fire and police stations, Colonial Gardens, and most Main Street businesses. Southborough lost one of its great residents last week when Dick Upjohn died suddenly at the age of 82. I only knew Mr. Upjohn by sight, but what an awe-inspiring sight he was. He famously rode his bicycle all over town, briefcase strapped to the back. For my part, I would most often see him out jogging along Deerfoot Road, no matter the weather.
