For the past several months, the Board of Selectmen and Police Chief Jane Moran have been negotiating in executive session on a new contract for the chief. The Metrowest Daily News reported this weekend, they were unable to reach agreement on a 3-year contract – the norm for most town department heads – and instead laid out a 1-year deal. As of Thursday night, power was restored to all residents of Southborough. Schools are back in session, town offices are open, and downed trees are being cut up and carted away.
