MWDN: Barn Hollow open space “compromise” rejected by OSPC

At last night’s meeting, the Open Space Preservation Commission meeting decided to support accepting the Barn Hollow open space parcel at Monday night’s Special Town meeting. MWDN: Barn Hollow open space problems may be resolved through compromise and committee appointments delayed

There has been a lot of coverage of problems with Barn Hollow open space over the last two months. And it’s been a hot topic on the agendas of several town boards and committees.

MWDN: Planning Board drops revised Open Space portion of zoning bylaw overhaul

Metrowest Daily News reports that at last night’s Planning Board meeting, the board voted to drop the OSRD portion of the zoning bylaw revisions. The new bylaws are scheduled to be voted on in a Special Town Meeting in October. The board believed this controversial section would cause the effort to fail. MWDN: New open space bylaw in Southborough in jeopardy

As town boards continue their review of a massive overhaul of the town’s zoning code, one element of the proposal is drawing some fire.
