Undecking the halls: Boy Scouts offer tree removal

by susan on December 30, 2008

Packing away the ornaments and unstringing the lights is your job, but get your tree to the curb and the Boy Scouts will do the rest.

The Scouts will pick up trees on the next two Saturdays – January 3rd and 10th. You can make an appointment by sending email to troop1trees@gmail.com. Include your name, phone number, address, and requested date. The deadline is 7:00 pm on the day before pick up.

Then place your tree at the end of your driveway by 9:00 am on the day of pick up. Put $5 per tree in a plastic bag attached to the top of the tree. Proceeds benefit Southborough Boy Scouts Troop 1.

If you’d prefer to take matters into your own hands, you can dispose of your tree at the Transfer Station (guidelines here).
