It comes as no surprise that yesterday was a busy day for emergency responders (looks like today might be too), but police and fire crews responded to one call yesterday that was a little too close to home.

Cordaville Road building eyed for new police station

There’s been an interesting development in the ongoing saga over securing a new facility to house the police department. The Metrowest Daily News reports town officials last week toured the High Speed Video Inc. building at 150 Cordaville Road (map) which recently came on the market.

Heavy rain brings flooding, road closures, lightning strikes

I wasn’t in town yesterday afternoon, but I hear there was quite a deluge. The Metrowest Daily News has a rundown of the damage, including a lightning strike at the police station:

Extension granted for Rossi Estates subdivision
