Southborough puppeteer gets national recognition

Southborough’s very own puppeteer Deborah Costine recently received a national award for her one-woman (and many puppet) production called A Woodland Cinderella.
The Citation for Excellence in Puppetry, awarded by national puppetry organization UNIMA-USA, recognizes shows that “touch their audiences deeply; that totally engage, enchant and enthrall.”

Southborough unemployment rate highest in 17 years

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told Congress yesterday that the economic downturn appears to be ‘abating’, but in Southborough unemployment is still sharply on the rise.

Regional planners suggest improvements to I-495

A couple regional planning committees have been studying the I-495 corridor from Berlin to Hopkinton, including the portion that runs through Southborough. This week they presented some ideas to improve the traffic capacity of interchanges on 495 and to reduce traffic along the corridor, reports the Metrowest Daily News.
