Fighting cancer with every step at Bodyscapes

cybex-pinkBodyscapes Fitness in Southborough has a new treadmill. Not just any treadmill, a pink treadmill. And for every mile logged on the treadmill over the next year, Bodyscapes will make a donation to The Ellie Fund, a local charity that supports women with breast cancer.

Bodyscapes is kicking off their fundraising with a special event on Thursday. You can read more about it, along with other ways the gym is raising funds for breast cancer awareness in this press release:

BodyScapes Fitness in Southborough will host a special event at the start of October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month – to help raise money for local charity, The Ellie Fund, which improves the health and welfare of women and families undergoing breast cancer treatment in Massachusetts. During the month of October, BodyScapes will be donating $1.00 for every mile logged on the club’s new pink Cybex 750T treadmill to The Ellie Fund.

On October 1st, the club will host two Patriots Cheerleaders to run/walk on the pink treadmill. Local residents, members and non-members, are welcome to attend.

At the end of October, BodyScapes Fitness will continue supporting The Ellie Fund by donating five cents for every mile run/walked on the pink treadmill throughout the entire year.

From October 1st – 7th, new members who sign up for a 12 month membership at either the Southborough or Brookline BodyScapes Fitness locations will pay $0 initiation and BodyScapes will donate $25 in your name directly to The Ellie Fund.

The kick-off event runs from 8:00 to 10:00 am on Thursday. Anyone can attend — you don’t need to be a member. For more information, visit the Bodyscapes Fitness website (www.bodyscapesfitness.com) or call  508-460-8882
