Being the author of this blog has some perks, but probably none quite as exciting as the opportunity earlier this month to see Southborough as I have never seen it — from an exhilarating 100 feet in the air in the bucket of the town’s new ladder truck.

Northborough files court papers in dispute with Southborough

We knew it was coming, and earlier this month the town of Northborough followed through by filing papers with the Worcester Superior Court asking for a declaratory judgment against Southborough in the ongoing dispute between the towns over how to split debt incurred when Algonquin was remodeled a few years ago.

Assabet to hold benefit in memory of culinary arts teacher

Last April Cliff Giovannucci, a culinary arts teacher at Assabet, was killed in a motorcycle accident. On Saturday the Assabet community will hold a skating event and hockey game to benefit for his two children.
