Obituary: Richard L. Fairfield, 77

Richard L. Fairfield, 77, of Southborough, died on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Wingate at Sudbury, after a battle with Parkinson Disease.

He was the devoted husband of Paula (Beck) Fairfield for the past 56 years. Born in Canada he was the son of the late James Henry and Edith Estelle (Stevenson) Fairfield.

Richard was a graduate of Brighton High School and was co-owner and operator of J. G. Willis, Tent Co. of Newton and Tentworks of Southborough. He had a passion for building and fixing things and enjoyed traveling. However his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Richard L. Fairfield, Jr., who was his partner in business, his wife Terri of Southborough; Andrew and his wife Tracy of Franklin; a sister Glenys Brewer of Lillington, NC; 4 grandchildren, Cory and Craig Farifield and Megan and Erin Fairfield; a cousin, Barbara Trafton of Needham; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of resurrection was held at St. Matthew Church in Southborough.
