Chestnut Hill Farm is holding a special celebration this weekend. It sounds like a fun throwback to ancient Roman mythology.

The event starts Saturday afternoon and ends in the evening. It includes games, food, and fun. So, bundle up and head out to the farm on Saturday, December 17th:

Saturnalia!
Saturday, 12/17, 3-6pm

Help us welcome winter and ensure a bountiful spring by celebrating Saturn, the Roman Titan of Agriculture! Bring the whole family along to enjoy our version of this ancient seasonal tradition. We’ll light candles, play games, have fireside snacks, and learn to make our own pileus, felt hats worn by all Saturnalia revelers!

Trustees Member: $5/individual, $15/family
Nonmember: $10/individual, $25/family

Sign up now so we can make sure we have snacks and craft materials for everyone!

To register, visit The Trustees of Reservations website.

Updated (12/15/16 12:04 pm): I just learned that the Trustees are cancelling the event due to the forecast rain/snow mix.
