Events this week: NSMA fundraiser, NSPAC Transition Workshop, and Art with Photography for Adults

Here are highlights of what’s happening around town this week.

Reminder, the Southborough Senior Center is closed until Monday, January 31st. And the Southborough Library is closed until Thursday, January 27th.

  • Youth Writing Club (3:30 – 4:30 pm) @ zoom: The Southborough Library is hosting this virtual creative writing club for ages 10-18. The zoom sessions are a fun and supportive space to get creative and build skills with peers. For details, see dedicated post.
  • NSMA’s Chipotle Fundraiser (4:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Chipotle, 237 Boston Post Road West, Marlborough: Order dinner from the Marlborough Chipotle and have ⅓ of your bill donated to Northboro-Southborough Music Association. For details on how to support the fundraiser, see dedicated post.

  • NSPAC’s Transition Planning Workshop (9:00 – 10:00 am) @ zoom: The workshop sponsored by the Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council features the district Transition Coordinator. For details, see dedicated post.

Wednesday, January 26, 2022

  • Art with Photography class (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Apothecary Artists, 1 Boston Rd: Apothecary Artists is offering classes (fee and registration required). This session: Instructor Chelsea Bradway will teach students ages 18+ (using a camera or other device) to play with will play with lighting, angles, shadows and much more.   • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:45 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: This story time is for children age 0-2 years and their parents or caregivers. Each session will include puppets, stories, and music. No registration required.

  • Fire Pit Saturdays ( 12:00 – 2:00 pm or 3:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fee) required. Your ticket includes two hours at a private fire (we’ll light your fire for you), private picnic table seating, wood for burning, roasting sticks, and a kit for making six s’mores.
