Tomasso and Panzano fundraising for earthquake victims in Italy

abruzzo-wineTomasso Trattoria and Panzano Market are doing their part to aid victims of the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that hit the Abruzzo region of Italy last week. This week they’re offering Abruzzo-inspired dishes and tastings with proceeds going to the NIAF/Abruzzo Relief Fund. Here are the details.

Antipasto at Tomasso
Now through Saturday Tomasso is offering a special antipasto item inspired by the traditional cuisine of Abruzzo paired with a wine produced in the Abruzzo region. One-hundred percent of proceeds from orders of Spicy Stewed Tomatoes on a Garlic Crostino topped with Crystal Brook Farm Goat Cheese ($8) paired with 2006 Valle Reale Montepulciano d’Abruzzo ($17 with wine pairing), will benefit quake victims.

Wine tasting at Panzano
On Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Panzano will hold a special wine tasting featuring wines from the Abruzzo region.  There is a suggested minimum donation of $10 to join the tasting.  All wines from the tasting will be sold at the regular price, but Panzano will donate 20% of all sales to the NIAF/Abruzzo Relief Fund, along with all donations collected at the tasting.
