Why flags are at half staff today

Flags in Southborough and across the state are lowered today in honor of Plymouth native Sergeant Benjamin W. Sherman who was killed in Afghanistan earlier this month. He was 21 years old.

Thank you for posting this. Hopefully people will ask why the flags were lowered and take a silent moment to honor this soldier and all that are serving in harms way.

I hate seeing the flag at half-mast because it means we’ve lost another.

Again – I reach out to the citizens of Southborough to let us know who’s sons and daughters are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hand Salute………… Two………………..
