Both the statewide and national unemployment rate ticked up a few notches in July, but in Southborough the rate decreased slightly. July’s unemployment rate for Southborough was 7.0%, down a smidge from 7.1% in June.
The rate in Massachusetts went from 8.8% in June to 9.1% in July. Nationally the rate increased from 9.6% in June to 9.7% in July.
