Scarecrows are coming to town again this year

Scarecrows will once again grace the lawn of the Community House come Heritage Day thanks to the Southborough Gardeners’ second annual Scarecrows Come to Town Contest.

All Southborough residents are invited to create and enter a scarecrow. You can work individually or in teams. Prizes will be awarded in three age categories — from children up to adults. Awards will also be given for best family/business scarecrow, along with an overall best-in-show award.

The contest runs from October 9-11 (Heritage Day is October 11), but the scarecrows will be on display on the Community House lawn until October 16. You can check out all the rules in the official entry form. The deadline for entries is October 8.
