Southborough police logs (8/10/12 – 8/13/12): Hot air balloon lands on Main Street

I don’t have any more detail than what’s in the police log, but apparently a hot air balloon landed on the front lawn of a Main Street residence on Monday evening. If anyone has pictures, I’d love to see them!

Friday, August 10, 2012

  • 4:34 am – Officers responded to Parkerville Road for a noise complaint. The noise was identified as construction equipment being transported from one job site to another. Those on scene were advised to keep the noise to a minimum.
  • 10:56 am – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
  • 2:49 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Fisher Road residence.
  • 4:42 pm – Officers responded to a Cordaville Road business for a report of a suspicious juvenile in the area. The responding officer reported from the scene that the juvenile checked out o.k.
  • 5:07 pm – An officer on patrol found an open door at the DPW. The DPW was notified of the unlocked door.
  • 5:48 pm – An officer responded to a Central Street residence after the resident complained about someone being on his property. The person involved, who was waiting for a bus, was advised to stay off the resident’s property.
  • 6:53 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Sears Road residence.
  • 8:01 pm – Officers assisted a disabled tractor trailer unit on Turnpike Road.
  • 8:04 pm – An officer assisted a Latisquama Road resident with a hazard in their home.
  • 8:49 pm – Officers investigated a report of a suspicious male party walking on Marlboro Road. The male party had left the area, prior to the responding officer’s arrival.
  • 8:58 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Flagg Road residence.
  • 9:20 pm – An officer on patrol checked on a suspicious motor vehicle parked in front of a Turnpike Road business. The officer reported back that the driver was checking their GPS.
  • 9:30 pm – A Flagg Road resident reported that a female solicitor was walking through the neighborhood. The responding officer was unable to locate the solicitor.
  • 10:00 pm – An officer on patrol found a motorist with heavy damage to their motor vehicle parked in front of a Turnpike Road business. The driver reported that he had struck a car in Milford, which Milford Police confirmed via telephone. The officer assisted Milford PD by taking pictures of the damage, and the operator will be summonsed to court by Milford PD.
  • 11:06 pm – A medical was reported at a Turnpike Road business.

Saturday, August 11, 2012

  • 2:16 am – Officers responded to a Marlboro Road residence for a report of an underage drinking party in the area. Officers on scene confirmed that the party-goers were 21 years or older.
  • 8:24 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Boston Road business.
  • 12:59 pm – An officer responded to a Turnpike Road residence to investigate a harassment complaint.
  • 1:03 pm – A medical was reported at an East Main Street residence.
  • 3:37 pm – A motorist reported that their windshield was struck by a golf ball while travelling on Cordaville Road. The golfer, who hit the golf ball, had left the area before police could interview him/her. The owner of the vehicle was advised of his options.
  • 4:42 pm – A Turnpike Road business owner reported three intoxicated males hanging around the area. The male parties left the area prior to the officers arriving on scene.
  • 8:18 pm – A medical was reported at an East Main Street residence.
  • 11:10 pm – Officers responded to Burnett Road for a report of a possible gunshot in the area. The responding officers reported back negative findings on scene.

  • 1:10 am – A medical was reported at an Alexandra Circle residence.
  • 1:56 am – A motorist reported a possible OUI driver heading eastbound on Turnpike Road. Responding officers advised that the vehicle had left the area, and the information was passed along to Framingham Police.
  • 10:56 am – A medical was reported at a Leonard Drive residence.
  • 2:28 pm – A medical was reported at a Boston Road residence.
  • 2:28 pm – A medical was reported at a Cordaville Road residence.
  • 4:59 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.

  • 12:52 am – An officer on patrol checked on a bicyclist on Turnpike Road. The rider checked out o.k.
  • 1:05 am – An officer on patrol reported two youths skateboarding in the parking lot of the T Station.
  • 1:35 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Walnut Drive residence.
  • 3:52 am – A Parkerville Road resident reported loud construction equipment in the area. The construction vehicles had left the area prior to the responding officer’s arrival.
  • 10:13 am – Officers responded to a Cordaville Road business for a report of political protestors in the area. The protestors were asked to leave the property by the property owner.
  • 10:25 am – Officers participated in a funeral escort on Main Street.
  • 12:33 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 1:15 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from another Turnpike Road business.
  • 3:06 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence.
  • 5:03 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Marlboro Road business.
  • 6:25 pm – A Reservoir Drive resident reported that a solicitor was soliciting for seal coating in the neighborhood. The solicitor was located and advised to leave the area.
  • 6:48 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road business.
  • 8:00 pm – Officers responded to a residence on Main Street for a report of a Hot Air Balloon landing in the area. The responding officer reported that the balloon landed on the front lawn of a residence, and that everyone was o.k. The passengers packed up the balloon and left the area soon after.
  • 8:19 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Framingham Road.
  • 10:40 pm – A motorist from Worcester was issued a Criminal Application (summons) for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
